Terms of service

These terms cover your use of Relay, the shared inbox service. By creating a workspace you agree to them on behalf of your team or company. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.
The service
Relay connects to the email inboxes you choose and lets your team read, assign, annotate and answer that mail together. We aim to keep it available around the clock and we publish incidents when they happen. We don’t promise it will never go down.
Your account
You need a work email address to sign up. You are responsible for who you invite, for the roles you give them, and for what they do with that access. Tell us right away if you think an account has been compromised.
Billing
Every workspace starts with a 14-day trial. After that you pick a plan and pay per seat, monthly or yearly. Seats are counted per day, so adding someone mid-month only costs the days they had access. You can cancel from the settings page at any time; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Prices can change. If they do, you get at least 30 days’ notice by email and the new price applies from your next billing period.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Relay to:
- send unsolicited bulk email or anything that breaks anti-spam law where you operate;
- handle mail you don’t have the right to access;
- probe, overload or interfere with the service or other customers’ workspaces;
- resell access without a written agreement with us.
If we see this happening we may suspend the workspace. We will tell you why.
Your data
The mail, notes and files in your workspace belong to you. We process them only to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy. You can export everything at any time.
Ending the agreement
You can leave whenever you want. We can end the agreement if you break these terms and don’t fix it within 14 days of being told, or if we stop offering the service, in which case you get at least 90 days’ notice and a full export.
Liability
We provide Relay as it is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost business.
Changes
We may update these terms. For material changes you get an email at least 30 days before they apply. Continuing to use Relay after that date means you accept the new terms.
